Since 1985 I’ve been involved with art imagery and ceramics. Over time the ceramics have assumed different forms, as in “Eclipse”, “Fossils”, and “Queen Bee”, finally evolving into “Sexy Pottery”, a line of ceramics with a primitive flavor, but with an absolutely ironic (not vulgar) content and symbolism.
The pieces are all done individually by hand, with a durable clay in different colors, then dried. They are fired first at 1200 degrees, then glazed and fired a second time at 900 degrees, both times in the kilns at Faenza.
Salve, mi chiamo Romeo Lombardi sono un artista e vivo e lavoro a Faenza. dal 1985 ad oggi mi occupo di immagini e ceramica d arte. Con la ceramica negli anni ho attraversato diversi lavori artistici, come “eclisse”, “fossili” , “ape regina” fino ad arrivare nel 2003 a “Sexy Pottery” un tipo di ceramica dal sapore primitivo, e dal contenuto assolutamente ironico. Fatto di un simbologia simpatica e non volgare.
Le opere sono tutte realizzate a mano una ad una con argille refrattarie di colori diversi, fatte poi asciugare, le opere vengono cotte a 1200 gradi una prima volta nei forni di Faenza. subito dopo vengono smaltate con cristallina pura e cotte una seconda volta a 900 gradi sempre a faenza.
